A combination of 16mm footage and direct animation on clear leader. The main audio track here, my reading of a 'note' mainly concerning my feelings about gender, is buried under a soundscape of ambient music and discordant sound effects. The idea is 'hiding in plain sight'; that this all should be obvious to anyone who's paying attention... ah, but therein lies the rub!

this is a meditation on framing, peripheral vision, and delayed gratification;

the image is constantly changing in framing and aspect ratio but never quite enough to hold one's full attention. ideally your eye is constantly wandering the screen for sites of interest and so never fully observing the actual subject of each individual sequence.

the audio track is a soundscape of very irritating noises which by the end become almost soothing until interrupted by the hum of a projector (a sound i think most people would say is comforting, just not in this context!)

in a nutshell, the idea is, "it's funny what you can get used to"
