Profile
I’m an MA student studying film at UNCW. I daydream and I write.
Work Experience
- University of North Carolina—Pembroke (Summer 2019), Youth Leader
- I assisted with the Unlocking Silent Histories summer program, during which time I helped local Native American youth learn the basics of camerawork and cinematography along with introducing them to film editing using Adobe Premier. I also helped them connect with issues facing indigenous communities by facilitating discussions on readings and films selected in part by me.
- Chautauqua (Spring 2020)
- I was a member of the editing team of the Chautauqua literary journal for the Borders issue. I gained experience with making copy and developmental edits, writing query letters to prospective contributors, and evaluating submissions with fellow members of my team.
- Film Matters
- I was a member of the editing team over the fall and spring semesters of 2022. I've made queries directly to authors.
